Sirena - dangerously seductive

The sirens were mythical creatures whose beautiful songs lured sailors to their deaths by causing their ships to crash into rocks.

Sirens were seen as the embodiment of the dangerous temptation emanating from women and men and the worldly charms that led to sensual pleasure.

They lived on the island of Anthemusa, and there they would sing beautiful songs until they lured a ship full of sailors to the rocks.

The Odyssey by Homer

The famous Greek sailor Odysseus was warned about the sirens by the sorceress Circe on his long journey.
Odysseus was extremely curious about the siren song and really wanted to hear it. On the other hand, of course, he didn't want him and his ship's crew to be killed by the sirens.

Knowing exactly what awaited him and his men, he made a plan. He covered his sailors' ears with wax so that they would not be able to hear the sirens' song. Then he had them tie him to the mast and ordered them to sail on under any circumstances and not to untie him under any circumstances, no matter how much he screamed and raged.

Thus, Odysseus became the only person to ever hear the siren song and survive.

Protector of Persephone

They were the protectors of Persephone, daughter of Demeter. But after Hades kidnapped Persephone and took her to the underworld, Demeter cursed the sirens and sent them to the island. Her songs often have notes of regret and a wish for Persephone to return to the land of the living.

prophecy

According to a prophecy, the sirens were not allowed to let a sailor pass. If one did not succumb to the lure of their song, they would have to throw themselves into the sea and drown.
